AFC EDUCATION/AFRICAN SCHOOL OF CINEMA

The ASC curriculum gives a well rounded education of both the arts and technical aspects of filmmaking. Students receive hands-on-training in the craft of screen writing, producing, directing, cinematography, editing and animation. An outreach program is dedicated to recruit talent throughout Africa, thus creating a student body as diverse as Africa itself. A cultural exchange program and workshops between accredited international film schools will consist of four to eight week courses.

3rd ANNUAL AFC STORYTELLING SCREENWRITING COMPETITION
The African Film Commission (AFC) Storytelling International Screenwriting competition was conceived to create greater international cooperation in bringing African subject matter and locals to the screen. The objective is to promote exceptional feature-length screenplays and documentary subjects (or projects) that combine African and world experiences into stories that use, to any extent African authentic location.

Winners whose excellent project combine African content and locations will not only receive prizes-they will also receive the full support of the AFC so that these superior film and documentary projects may get the best opportunities for production.
